Getting Better at Being Dead
Are you really sure that you’re actually alive? What if the secret to enjoying modern life was pretending you’re already done with it? Black humor has gone
a little bit…shadier.
This darkly funny, surprisingly uplifting book, presents itself as a cheerful manual for the “recently deceased”, but don’t worry, no prior experience is required! Through playful interviews with dead people, tongue-in-cheek advice, absurdly insightful and hilariously useful “tips for a happy death”, this book gently pulls the curtain back on the strange habits, anxieties, and contradictions of the living.
Written with warmth, wit, and a relentlessly positive tone, this book uses black humor as a mirror, not a hammer. It doesn’t dwell on gloom or shock; instead, it finds joy in the overall perspective of things, without preaching or using self-help clichés. Above all, this is a book for people who can laugh at themselves. Equal parts fake handbook, philosophical prank, and feel-good comedy, this book won’t tell you how to live, but might just give you a few light-hearted ideas about it!
